Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G, featuring Awesome Intelligence, Samsung’s comprehensive AI tools exclusively developed for A-series devices, and 6 years of updates.
Both the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G boast similar specifications, with the key differences lying in their processors and camera setups.
The handsets feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. They also come with a 5000mAh battery, Gorilla Glass Victus protection at the front and back, and an IP67 dust and water resistance rating for added durability.
The Galaxy A56 5G is powered by an Exynos 1580 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. It has a triple-camera setup at the rear, which includes a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, there’s a 12MP front shooter.
The Galaxy A36 5G, on the other hand, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, with similar RAM and storage configurations. The camera setup is also similar, but this model features an 8MP ultra-wide sensor instead of the 12MP found on the Galaxy A56 5G.
The Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G run on One UI 7, based on Android 15, and promise up to 6 years of OS upgrades and security updates. This means that the devices’ software stays up-to-date until March 31, 2032.
Both models also feature Samsung’s Awesome Intelligence AI tools, a comprehensive mobile AI exclusive to the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G.
Availability
Samsung has yet to announce the prices for the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G. However, both devices will be available in the Philippines by March 17, 2025, in stores and on the Samsung Online Store by March 24, 2025. Stay tuned for more details.
