At the OPPO AI Tech Summit during MWC 2025, OPPO announced a new artificial intelligence (AI) strategy. The goal is to make OPPO a leader in AI by offering secure and constantly improving AI solutions.
Billy Zhang, President of Overseas Marketing, Sales, and Services at OPPO, emphasized the importance of AI in enhancing user experience. “Smartphones are not just vehicles for AI – they are the engines that power the best possible AI experiences,” Zhang said.

OPPO’s new strategy aims to improve AI from functional-level to system-level, requiring more integration and security. OPPO is working with Google to integrate AI experiences across its smartphones. Google Gemini will work in OPPO apps like Notes, Calendar, and Clock, enhancing performance and responsiveness. The latest Gemini 2.0 will be available soon.
To ensure user privacy and security, OPPO is implementing Private Computing Cloud (PCC) with Confidential Computing from Google Cloud. Starting with AI Recording Summary, features like AI Search, AI Studio, and AI Call Summary will integrate with OPPO PCC this year.
OPPO’s AI strategy focuses on three areas: AI Productivity, AI Creativity, and AI Imaging, This approach covers the entire AI ecosystem from chips to the cloud. OPPO works with MediaTek to optimize chips for high-efficiency, real-time AI processing.
On the device side, AI technologies like LoRA, Parallel Decoding Solution, and MoE are boosting AI performance on OPPO devices. On the cloud side, OPPO has built a strong data security protection system.

As AI technology evolves, OPPO aims to redefine how AI enhances daily experiences. After surpassing 50 million users last year, OPPO targets nearly 100 million users by the end of 2025. OPPO plans to release one new AI update per month.
Apart from the summit, OPPO’s AI features and phones, including the Find N5, Reno13 series, and Find X8 series, are showcased by partners like Google, MediaTek, and Qualcomm at MWC 2025.
