An extended preview of the highly anticipated Superman movie is now available online. First shown at CinemaCon, the trailer gives us a glimpse of James Gunn’s fresh take on the iconic Man of Steel.
Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film under Warner Bros. Pictures, is set to hit theaters globally this summer. The film is directed by Gunn and reimagines the original superhero in a newly crafted DC universe. Knowing Gunn, expect to see a blend of epic action, humor, and heartfelt storytelling to portray a Superman driven by compassion and faith in humanity’s goodness.
The film is produced by Gunn and Peter Safran, with Gunn also penning the screenplay. It is based on the beloved DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
The cast includes David Corenswet (Twisters, Hollywood) as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult (X-Men, Warm Bodies) as Lex Luthor.
Supporting them is a diverse ensemble, including Edi Gathegi (For All Mankind), Anthony Carrigan (Barry, Gotham), Nathan Fillion (Guardians of the Galaxy, Firefly, Serenity), and Isabela Merced (Alien Romulus), among others.
You can catch Superman in Philippine theaters and IMAX starting July 9, 2025. With Gunn at the helm, this promises to be a memorable chapter for the Man of Steel.
