The ROG Xbox Ally X has an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB LPDDR5X-8000MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD, making it the most powerful of the two. While the ROG Xbox Ally features an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB LPDDR5X-6400MHz RAM, and a 512GB M.2 2280 SSD.

Both models have a familiar Ally control layout, but Microsoft has added impulse triggers to the Ally X, while the Ally keeps its hall effect analog triggers. The Ally X also features two USB-C ports, one a USB 4, while the Ally has USB 3.2 Gen 2 on both ports.
