HUAWEI has officially launched its latest flagship camera-focused smartphones, the Pura 80 Series. The lineup includes the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and Pura 80 Pro+.
The big story here are the Pura 80 Pro and Pro+, both hosting a large 1-inch 50MP main camera with an f/1.6 to f/4.0 variable aperture and OIS. Its paired with high resolution 40MP ultra-wide camera and a 48MP macro telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
At the front, the smartphones boast a 6.8-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED display with 1-120Hz refresh rate. Both models also house a 5700mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
On the other hand, the vanilla Pura 80 is also equipped with a triple-camera system that includes a 50MP main sensor, also with variable aperture and OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto camera with 5.5x optical zoom and a maximum 50x digital zoom.
The Pura 80 features a 6.6-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED display with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Powering the device is a 5600mAh battery that supports 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
All three models include a 13MP front-facing selfie camera. The smartphones also support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, and NearLink, HUAWEI’s proprietary Bluetooth alternative.
HUAWEI has not disclosed the specific processors powering these devices but claims they deliver 36% faster performance compared to the previous generation.
The new HUAWEI Pura 80 Series are now available in China. The Pura 80 Pro starts at CNY 6,499 (₱50,300 or USD 900), while the Pura 80 Pro+ is priced at CNY 7,999 (₱61,900 or USD 1,100). The base Pura 80’s pricing has yet to be announced.
