Infinix GT 30 Pro review: All day 120FPS, excellent performance, affordable price

This gaming smartphone is one of 2025’s biggest surprises.

Infinix is gearing up to launch its latest gaming flagship, the GT 30 Pro, in the Philippines on June 22, 2025. Starting at just ₱13,999, this feature-packed device is set to disrupt the budget gaming smartphone segment.

The GT 30 Pro offers impressive performance, boasting a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor, a 144Hz AMOLED display with an all-day 120FPS system, and responsive GT Triggers, all designed to bring a premium mobile gaming experience to the budget segment.

We’ve taken the GT 30 Pro for a spin, and it just might be one of 2025’s biggest surprises.

Eye-Catching Design, Smooth Display

The Infinix GT 30 Pro debuts the second-generation Cyber Mecha design, this time with a more refined, toned-down look while still retaining its gaming aesthetic. It has a smooth and silky finish that adds a premium touch without being flashy.

Despite the budget-friendly price tag, the smartphone’s build quality is impressive. The GT 30 Pro has excellent ergonomics and a satisfying hand-feel, thanks to the flat sides and display.

The frame is made of durable plastic, sandwiched between two glass panels. On the back, you’ll find Mechanical Light Waves, customizable LED lighting that glows for notifications and other functions, reinforcing that gamer DNA.

Durability is another win here: the GT 30 Pro is rated IP64, making it resistant to dust and splashes of water, great for unexpected rain or spills.

Despite a 6.78-inch display, the phone is surprisingly compact with ultra-narrow bezels and an 8.75mm profile. Our Shadow Ash review unit stands out with a dark shade of gray with subtle green accents on the power button and around the rectangular camera island, adding an aesthetic win.

The device is also offered in Blade White, a sleek silver option, and Dark Flare, the boldest variant with red accents and a more aggressive design.

A bonus for gamers: the Dark Flare edition includes the bundled Gaming Kit that includes a thermally optimized MagCase for magnetic charging and heat dissipation, and the MagCharge Cooler, a lightweight magnetic wireless charging fan that helps maintain sustained 120FPS gaming.

Back to the display, the GT 30 Pro flaunts a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED panel with a crisp 2720×1224 resolution. It boasts a buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate, which keeps supported games fluid, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate and an ultra-responsive 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate for faster response times in gaming. It also supports a peak brightness of 4500 nits, making it easier to view even in harsh sunlight.

As for layout, the right side houses the volume rocker, power button, and capacitive GT Triggers. Below, you’ll find the SIM tray, microphone, USB-C port, and bottom-firing speaker. Up top, you have a second speaker, an IR blaster, and an additional mic.

Cameras That Get the Job Done

In the photography front, the GT 30 Pro sports a 108MP main camera, paired with a 32MP selfie shooter. For its price range, the imaging performance is more than respectable. Our tests show good detail and vibrant colors.

While it doesn’t match the performance of premium flagships, it nails the basics for social media snaps, casual shooting, and even short-form video content with up to 4K@60fps outputs.

Powerful Gaming

As expected from a gaming-focused device, the GT 30 Pro delivers consistently strong performance, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor. Our review unit came with 12GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM and a generous 512GB of UFS4.0 storage.

The phone runs on XOS 15, based on Android 15. Surprisingly, this is one of our favorite aspects of the device. The UI is clean and aesthetically pleasing, with little to no bloatware. Just be sure to skip the recommended app installations during initial setup.

For software updates, Infinix promises 2 years of Android OS updates and 3 years of security patches. While we’d love to see a longer support window given the GT 30 Pro’s hardware, this is in line with most Android offerings.

Performance in day-to-day use is excellent. The GT 30 Pro feels fast and responsive, and apps and games open without delay.

Gaming, in particular, is a highlight. Temperatures are well controlled. The capacitive GT Triggers are a joy to use: highly responsive, perfectly positioned, and surprisingly versatile. Beyond gaming, they can also double as a camera shutter or play/pause control in supported apps via double-tap gestures, small features that add real-world convenience.

Audio is another strength. The stereo speakers deliver good sound quality that enhances both gameplay and media consumption.

Benchmark results further back up the performance story. The GT 30 Pro scored a solid 1,254,335 on AnTuTu. On Geekbench 6, it posted 1,120 in the Single-Core Test and 3,754 in Multi-Core. And in 3DMark Wild Life, it maxed out the score.

Long-lasting battery, Multiple Charging Options

Despite its compact build, the GT 30 Pro is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery. Even better, it supports an array of charging options: 45W wired fast charging, 30W wireless charging, 10W reverse wired charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.

Moreover, it supports bypass charging, which routes power directly to the phone instead of the battery. This helps reduce heat during gaming sessions and extends overall battery health.

In our testing, the GT 30 Pro clocked 8 hours and 55 minutes of screen-on time. That translates to a full day of use with enough juice left for the next morning. A 30-minute session of Call of Duty Mobile in max graphic settings and refresh rate drained just 15-18% from the battery.

We couldn’t complete the PCMark battery benchmark, as it repeatedly crashed. However, the handset showed a lot of resilience in terms of battery life.

As for charging speeds, topping up from 25% to 100% using the included charger took one hour. Meanwhile, a quick 15-minute charge yielded a 24% bump, while 30 minutes gave us 38%.

Final Thoughts

The Infinix GT 30 Pro delivers exceptional value for its starting price of just ₱13,999. It offers excellent performance without the premium price tag. With its MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, the phone outpaces most competitors in its class, offering impressive performance without breaking the bank.

The GT 30 Pro also brings standout features that punch well above its price point: a smooth 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, a capable 108MP main camera, tactile GT Triggers, and handy extras like bypass charging, all of which make this a compelling choice for gaming and everyday use.

Infinix GT 30 Pro

No, it doesn’t quite dethrone flagship gaming phones like the ROG Phone 9 Series, but it gets surprisingly close.

With aggressive pricing and a feature set that rivals more expensive models, the GT 30 Pro cements itself as one of the best budget gaming smartphones you can get your hands on in 2025.
