NASA is teaming up with Netflix to bring space content to more people around the world. Starting summer 2025 (in the US, which typically runs from June to August), NASA+ live programming will be available on the streaming platform.
Viewers will be able to watch rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission updates, and live views of Earth from the International Space Station, all through Netflix. The goal is to make space exploration easier to access and understand for a wider audience.
“We’re committed to a Golden Age of Innovation and Exploration – inspiring new generations – right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand from their phone,” said Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+.
Netflix has over 700 million users worldwide, giving NASA a much larger platform to share its work. The agency hopes this move will inspire more people to learn about science, technology, and space.
NASA+ will still be free and ad-free through the NASA app and website. No official launch date was announced, but expect to see more details about the programming schedule soon.
