Epson unveils new A4 flatbed scanners for faster, smarter document management

These fast, smart A4 scanners are made for modern document workflows.

Epson has introduced two new A4 flatbed document scanners, the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN, aimed at improving digital workflows in offices and small businesses. Both models offer fast scanning speeds and flexible media handling in a compact design.

The DS-1730 and DS-1760WN can scan up to 30 pages per minute using the automatic document feeder (ADF), and up to 7 seconds per page with the flatbed. The 60-sheet ADF supports high-volume scanning, while the flatbed handles thicker or fragile items like ID cards, booklets, and photos.

Both models are equipped with advanced document management solutions. Key features include one-pass duplex scanning, text enhancement, and punch hole removal. Users can combine scans from both the ADF and flatbed into a single file. The scanners also detect dirt on the glass and alert users to prevent poor image quality.

Furthermore, the Document Capture Pro software allows users to automate scan jobs, convert files to searchable PDFs or editable formats, and send them directly to cloud storage or email. The DS-1760WN adds PC-less scanning via ScanWay, enabling direct uploads to USB drives, network folders, or cloud services.

Epson highlights sustainability in the design, with up to 30% of the body made from recycled plastics. Both models aim to balance performance with environmental responsibility.

The new WorkForce scanners are now available through Epson’s authorized dealers.
