NBA 2K26 is now playable through early access on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Players who bought the Superstar Edition or Leave No Doubt Edition can start playing ahead of the full release.
The global launch is set for September 5, 2025. All editions, including Standard and WNBA, will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
This year’s game introduces a new motion engine called ProPLAY. It uses machine learning to make player movement smoother and more realistic. Shooting, passing, and footwork have also been updated for better control.
MyCAREER features a new story called “Out of Bounds.” It follows a young athlete from high school to the NBA. The City has been redesigned to be smaller and easier to explore. Parks return with seasonal updates, and a new Crews feature lets players form teams with friends.
MyTEAM now includes WNBA player cards. These work the same as NBA cards, allowing mixed rosters and balanced gameplay. A new WNBA Domination tier, uniforms, and courts are also included.
NBA 2K26 Seasons begin August 29. Each season lasts six weeks and offers 40 levels of rewards. A Pro Pass adds 40 more levels of premium content.
Early access runs until September 7 for eligible editions.
