Xiaomi has confirmed that 31 of its smartphones, including models from Redmi and POCO, will not receive Android 16. These devices will instead get HyperOS 3, based on Android 15, as their final major update. After that, they’ll only receive security patches and minor fixes.
The list includes several popular mid-range and budget phones. POCO models affected are the C65, F5 5G, F5 Pro, M6 Pro, and X6 Neo.
Redmi phones include the 12, 12 5G, 13C, 13C 5G, 13R, and multiple variants of the Note 12 and Note 13 series. Even the Redmi K50 Ultra and K60 are on the list.
Surprisingly, some Xiaomi flagship phones are also ending support. These include the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, 12S, 12S Ultra, 12T Pro, Civi 3, and the foldable MIX Fold 2.
HyperOS 3 will bring a refreshed interface, smoother performance, and more customization options. Xiaomi says the rollout will begin in September 2025.
While it’s the last major update for these phones, it gives users a final round of improvements before support ends.
Stay tuned for more updates.
