OnePlus 15 global launch set for November 13

The OnePlus 15 is set to launch globally on November 13. The news comes just a few days after the flagship phone was first released in China.

The OnePlus 15 includes several upgrades. Under the hood, it runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and has a 6.78-inch screen with an extra smooth 165Hz refresh rate. The battery is large at 7,300mAh, and the phone supports 120W wired charging, although speeds could be lower in some regions.

The rear camera system uses OPPO’s new Lumo Imaging System, instead of  Hasselblad. The brand recently ended its collaboration with the high-end camera maker. It includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide camera at the back, and a 32MP shooter in front.

The handset will ship with Android 16 and OnePlus’ OxygenOS operating system. One of the biggest changes is the removal of the Alert Slider, which has been replaced by a customizable button, similar to the Action Button on newer iPhones.

The phone will be available in three colors: Sand Storm, black, and purple. OnePlus says the Sand Storm version uses a material stronger than titanium.

This launch is earlier than usual for OnePlus, which typically releases new phones in January. The company also skipped the number 14, going straight from the OnePlus 13 to the 15, something it’s done before, like skipping the OnePlus 4 in 2017.

We’re not yet sure if the global version will have the same specs as the Chinese model. More details are expected soon. Stay tuned for updates.
