OPPO has started rolling out ColorOS 16 to the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. The update is based on Android 16 and was first launched with the Find X9 series. Now, it’s coming to older models starting in Asia.

The rollout begins in India, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The Find X8 is getting the update in all three countries, while the Find X8 Pro is currently limited to India.
ColorOS 16 adds smoother animations, full-screen Always-On Display (AOD), and the ability to resize folders and app icons. It also includes AI Portrait Glow for editing photos and an improved O+ Connect feature for linking devices.
Users can find out if they have the update by going to Settings > System & update > Software update, then tap the icon at the top right, go to Beta program, and choose Release Candidate. Once approved, the update will be available to download.
Remember to have at least 50% before installing. Backing up important data is also recommended. A wider release will follow once it’s confirmed stable.
