Samsung will soon roll out One UI 8.5, its next major software update built on Android 16. The update is expected to arrive in early 2026 alongside the Galaxy S26 series, before reaching a wide range of existing Galaxy phones and tablets.
If you’re worried about not getting it, keep this in mind: if your device received One UI 8.0, it should technically also get One UI 8.5. This means most recent Galaxy models across the S, Z, A, Tab, F, M, and XCover lines are included.
Flagship phones from the Galaxy S21 FE up to the latest S25 lineup are covered. Foldable devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and newer, plus Flip models from Flip 4 onward, are also eligible.
Mid-range phones like the Galaxy A73, A55, A35, and A15 will get the update. Budget-friendly F and M series models, including the F56, M55, and M34, are part of the rollout.
Tablets from the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) through the Tab S10 Ultra are supported. Rugged devices such as the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro and XCover 7 are also listed.
