The feature is rolling out gradually, so you might not get it right away. If you’re eligible, you should see Google Pay under GCash > Profile > Linked Accounts.

The service is limited to verified GCash users who are at least 18 years old. It is not available for GCash Jr. accounts or overseas users.

How to link GCash to Google Pay

Connecting GCash to Google Pay is straightforward. Just follow these instructions. Make sure your GCash app is updated to the latest version.

  • In the GCash app, go to Profile > My Linked Accounts
  • Choose Google Pay > Add to Google Wallet
  • Complete the verification steps
  • Allow GCash access when prompted
  • Go to Google Pay and choose Add to Wallet
  • Wait for eligibility confirmation and choose Accept

To use Tap to Pay, you must enable NFC on your device.

If you have several cards or e-wallets connected to Google Wallet, it will set the first card you added as the default for contactless payment, unless you choose another one.

If you want to use a different card for a specific purchase, open the Google Wallet app, choose the card you want, and then hold your phone to the terminal. If prompted, choose “Credit.”

The rollout is ongoing, so users who do not see the option yet will need to wait until it becomes available on their accounts. Once linked, payments can be made directly through Google Pay without needing a physical card. Stay tuned for updates.
