Canon has officially launched the EOS C50 cinema camera in the Philippines. The new model is aimed at filmmakers and creators who need high‑quality video and flexible shooting options.
The EOS C50 comes with a 35mm full‑frame CMOS sensor with 34.2MP. It can shoot up to 7K RAW video at 60fps and capture 32MP stills. For those who want more flexibility, it supports Open Gate recording, using the full sensor, and can record 4K slow‑motion at 120fps.
Dynamic range reaches 16 stops in Super 35 mode and over 15 stops in full‑frame. It supports multiple formats, including Cinema RAW Light, XF‑AVC, and XF‑HEVC, making it suitable for different workflows.
Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II ensures fast and accurate autofocus. The camera also has a 5‑axis in‑body stabilizer that works with IS lenses for smoother shots. Canon Log 2 and Log 3 are available for color grading.

On the hardware side, the EOS C50 has dedicated buttons and dials for manual control. It comes with two 3‑pin XLR inputs and audio dials when paired with the handle unit. A built‑in cooling system helps maintain stable performance during long shoots.
