vivo has announced the S50 and S50 Pro mini in China. Both phones come with updated designs, faster chips, and larger batteries.
The vivo S50 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The S50 Pro mini keeps a smaller 6.31-inch screen with the same specs. Each device has a 50MP selfie camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which offers more accurate reads than optical sensors.
Performance gets a noticeable upgrade. The S50 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the S50 Pro mini steps up to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Both can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Battery capacity is the same at 6,500mAh with 90W wired charging. The Pro mini adds 40W wireless charging for users who prefer cable-free setup.
The two phones share a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide camera. Both models ship with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

The vivo S50 starts at CNY 2,999 (PHP 25,050 / USD 430) for the 12GB and 256GB variant. The S50 Pro mini starts at CNY 3,699 (PHP 30,900 / USD 525) for the same configuration.
