Xiaomi launches REDMI Buds 8 Lite and Mijia Smart Audio Glasses in PH

Xiaomi has unveiled two new audio wearables in the Philippines, the REDMI Buds 8 Lite and the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses. Both devices expand the company’s growing AIoT ecosystem, offering practical features at accessible price points.

Mijia Smart Audio Glasses

The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses blend classic eyewear design with open‑ear audio technology. They come with built‑in speakers and four microphones, allowing users to listen to music or take calls while hearing their surroundings.

It comes with privacy mode, which reduces sound leakage. Meanwhile, wind noise reduction ensures clear audio outdoors.

Mijia Smart Audio Glasses

The glasses are available in Titanium, Browline, and Pilot‑Style frames, with options for blue light or UV protection lenses.

They are lightweight, durable, with IP54 resistance, and offer up to 13 hours of playback. Fast charging provides four hours of use in just 10 minutes.

Control is handled through the Xiaomi Glasses app, which supports gesture customization, dual‑device connectivity, and audio recording with privacy indicators. Prices start at PHP 10,999.

Meanwhile, the REDMI Buds 8 Lite are designed for everyday use. They feature a 12.4mm titanium‑diaphragm driver for clear audio, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and support for AAC and SBC codecs.

The earbuds come with hybrid active noise cancellation up to 42dB, AI environmental noise cancellation for calls, and Transparency mode. Users can choose from five EQ presets or customize sound through the Xiaomi Earbuds app.

Battery life reaches up to 36 hours with the charging case, while fast charging provides two hours of playback in 10 minutes. The Buds 8 Lite are priced at ₱1,199 and come in Black, White, and Blue.
