Netflix is hosting its first live MMA event, featuring a superfight between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. The match is set for May 16, 2026, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. It will stream worldwide on Netflix at no extra cost.

Rousey, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion and Olympic judo medalist, is returning to the cage after almost ten years.
Carano, one of the first stars of women’s MMA, is also making a comeback. She later built a career in Hollywood, appearing in films like Haywire and Fast & Furious 6, as well as the series The Mandalorian.
The fight will be in the featherweight division at 145 pounds. It will follow the Unified Rules of MMA, with five rounds lasting five minutes each, using 4‑ounce gloves. This will be the first time Rousey and Carano face each other, despite years of speculation about the matchup.
The event is organized by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). This marks MVP’s first MMA card and Netflix’s latest move into live sports streaming. The streamer has already tested live boxing, which means this is a signal for a bigger push into sports.
