Apple has unveiled the latest MacBook Air, powered by the new M5 chip. The thin and light laptop brings faster performance, bigger storage, and improved wireless connectivity. Philippine prices have also been confirmed, with availability coming soon.
The latest MacBook Air comes in two sizes, 13‑inch and 15‑inch, both with Liquid Retina displays that show over a billion colors and reach up to 500 nits of brightness. The design stays slim and portable, with color options that include Sky Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and Silver.
Inside, the laptop runs on Apple’s new M5 chip. It has a 10‑core CPU and up to a 10‑core GPU, each with a Neural Accelerator for faster AI tasks. Apple says it is up to four times faster than the previous generation. Memory bandwidth has also been increased to 153GB/s, making multitasking smoother.
Storage now starts at 512GB, double the base option from before, with configurations up to 4TB. The SSD is twice as fast, while the new N1 wireless chip supports Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Battery life is rated at up to 18 hours, with fast charging through MagSafe.

The MacBook Air M5 runs macOS Tahoe, which includes Apple Intelligence features like translation, reminders, and shortcuts. Continuity tools such as iPhone Mirroring and the Phone app on Mac are also supported.
Price & Availability in the Philippines
In the Philippines, the 13‑inch MacBook Air M5 is priced at ₱72,990 (₱65,990 for education). The 15‑inch model costs ₱85,990 (₱78,990 for education). Both will be available soon in local Apple stores and authorized resellers.
