Netflix has announced the cast for its upcoming live‑action Scooby‑Doo series, giving fans a first look at who will play the iconic Mystery Inc. characters.
Mckenna Grace will star as Daphne Blake. Tanner Hagen takes on Shaggy Rogers. Abby Ryder Fortson will play Velma Dinkley, while Maxwell Jenkins joins as Fred Jones. Together, they form the new team that will bring the classic cartoon to life.
The series will explore how Mystery Inc. first came together. It starts with Shaggy and Daphne during their last summer at camp, where they meet a lonely Great Dane puppy linked to a strange murder mystery. Velma and Fred later join them, pulling the group into a darker case that threatens to reveal their secrets.
The show is produced by Netflix with a lineup of executive producers including Josh Appelbaum, Scott Rosenberg, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Adrienne Erickson. Toby Haynes will direct the first episode.
