Netflix has confirmed that ONE PIECE Season 3 will adapt the Alabasta arc, one of the most popular storylines from Eiichiro Oda’s manga. Titled ONE PIECE: The Battle of Alabasta, the new season is set to stream in 2027.
The story follows Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew as they sail to the desert kingdom of Alabasta. The nation is on the brink of civil war, secretly manipulated by Sir Crocodile and his criminal group, Baroque Works. Princess Vivi enlists the crew’s help to save her homeland, setting up battles that test loyalty and friendship.
Returning cast members include Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji). Charithra Chandran (Vivi), Mikaela Hoover (Chopper), Joe Manganiello (Crocodile), Lera Abova (Miss All Sunday), and Sendhil Ramamurthy (King Cobra) are promoted to series regulars.
New additions include Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace, Cole Escola as Bon Clay, Daisy Head as Miss Doublefinger, and Awdo Awdo as Mr. 1.
Production is underway in Cape Town, South Africa, with co‑showrunners Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes describing the Alabasta arc as a “dream” to bring to life. Season 2 is currently streaming, while Season 3 promises higher stakes and expanded world‑building.
