The Nothing Phone (1) has officially reached the end of its software update life. The device, first launched in July 2022 with Android 12, is receiving its final update, which includes the July 2026 security patch along with bug fixes, performance improvements, and stability enhancements.
Nothing confirmed that while the Phone (1) will no longer get new updates, it will still be fully usable. The company has officially fulfilled its promise of three Android OS upgrades and four years of security patches, closing the support cycle as planned.
The Phone (1) marked Nothing’s entry into the smartphone market, gaining attention for its transparent design and Glyph interface. Over its lifecycle, it received steady updates that kept it secure and functional. With this last patch, Nothing signals the end of official support for its first-generation device.
For users, the Phone (1) will continue to work normally, but without future updates. It is recommended that they upgrade to newer models like the Nothing Phone (3) and Phone (4a) Pro.
The Phone (1) featured a 120Hz 6.55-inch FHD AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor, a 50MP main camera, a 4500mAh battery, and the Glyph Interface.

The end of support means the Phone (1) joins the list of devices that remain functional but are no longer updated, a common cycle in the smartphone industry.
In the Philippines, Nothing devices are available through Digital Walker, which operates stores nationwide.
