The Nothing Phone (1) is now fully official with all details revealed. The highly anticipated smartphone features a unique premium design, mid-range internals, and the innovative Glyph Interface.
Most of the details about the Phone (1) were already revealed. This time around, we finally have its full specifications. The smartphone features a frame made from recycled aluminum and a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with 2400 by 1080 resolution, 60Hz to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and Gorilla Glass protection.
At the back, there are dual 50MP cameras. The main camera is backed by a Sony IMX766 sensor, while the ultra-wide shooter has a Samsung JN1 sensor. Meanwhile, a punch hole hides a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Phone (1) has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. As mentioned before, it’s the same 6nm non-plus Snapdragon 778G chip, save for the addition of wireless charging. It comes in three variants — 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and top-end 12GB + 256GB.
Probably the most interesting and highly expected feature of the Phone (1) is its Glyph Interface. It’s comprised of 900 LEDs with useful functions such as a light source, notification and call indicators, and charging progress indicators.
The Phone (1) runs on Android 12 which is close to stock. Nothing promises 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches which they will release every 2 months.
The Nothing Phone (1) is coming to several countries, including the Philippines. Its priced at €469 / INR32,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, €499 / INR35,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, and €549 / INR38,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. Roughly converted to local currency, that’s around ~P23,400, ~P25,500, and ~P27,700. Hopefully, pricing is close to that (or lower) when it launches in the Philippines.
