Disney+ will migrate its Philippines subscribers to a new app on October 7, 2026, at no extra cost. Profiles, Watchlists, and viewing history will not carry over to the new platform.
Right now, Disney+ in the Philippines runs on the Hotstar app system instead of the standard global Disney+ platform. This change could mean local users will finally move to the global version of the app.
Login will stay simple. You’ll use the same email or phone number. If you haven’t added an email before, you’ll need to provide one when signing in for the first time.
Plans are also shifting. Premium subscribers keep their current features. Basic subscribers will be moved to the Standard plan, which includes downloads, up to 1080p video, and two simultaneous streams. Billing cycles remain the same, and you can switch plans anytime.
Disney+ has updated its Subscriber Agreement as well. The old agreement from February 20, 2024, applies until October 6, 2026. Starting October 7, the new agreement will cover all subscriptions.

This move puts Philippine users on the same global Disney+ app as other markets. It’s a big step toward a unified service, but subscribers should be ready since personal profiles and watch history won’t transfer.
