Google has dropped new Android features this September, adding practical tools and personalization options. The update includes Gemini memory in Find Hub, Motion Assist for rides, guided vision with Gemini Live, collaborative notes in Google Messages, and chat themes.
Gemini memory now works with Find Hub. You can save the location of important items like passports or spare keys. Later, you can ask Gemini or check the remembered items tab to find them. This feature is available on Android 16 and newer in supported countries.
Motion Assist helps reduce motion sickness when using your phone as a passenger. A bubble overlay moves with your vehicle, making it easier for your eyes to adjust. You can customize its look and set it to activate automatically. It works on Android 17.
Gemini Live adds guided vision support. Built with blind and low‑vision users, it describes what your camera sees and gives voice feedback to help you reframe or center objects. This will roll out soon on Android 9 and newer in supported regions.
Google Messages now integrates with Google Keep. You can create collaborative notes and lists inside chats. Everyone in the conversation can view and edit them. The rollout starts today. Messages also adds chat themes, letting you personalize each conversation with wallpapers, colors, or photos. Text bubbles adapt to match the chosen style.
