Google brings Gemini auto browse to more Chrome users

Google has expanded Gemini in Chrome with auto browse in India, now available on Android. The Gemini Chrome auto browse feature lets users handle multi-step tasks directly in the browser.

Auto browse can do more than autofill. It can book parking, order groceries, compare hotel and flight prices, and manage shopping carts with discounts. You can also ask Gemini to summarize articles, answer questions about web pages, and connect with Google apps like Keep and Calendar. On mobile, it supports image generation through Nano Banana.

The rollout is limited to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in India. Both desktop and Android users in these tiers can now access auto browse. Free and lower-tier plans do not include the feature.

Because auto browse interacts with websites, Google added safeguards against threats like prompt injection. The system can also ask for confirmation before actions involving money, privacy, or security.
