Samsung Galaxy S23 One UI 9.0 update starts rolling out globally

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 9.0 update to Galaxy S23 users around the world. The update is based on Android 17 and is now available outside South Korea, with Europe among the first regions to get it.

The rollout appears to be limited to Galaxy S23 Series users who joined the beta program. The stable update comes with firmware version S91xBXXUAGZIF with a download size of around 516MB.

One UI 9.0 brings several new features and improvements. Users get more ways to customize the Quick Panel, along with updates to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes. Samsung also added accessibility improvements to make the software easier to use.

Privacy gets some attention as well. The update adds a new location privacy indicator that gives users a clearer view of how their device accesses location data.

Samsung is also adding new AI-powered features with One UI 9.0. The company did not share full details in the report, but AI is still one of the key highlights of the update.

For now, the rollout is focused on beta users. Samsung is expected to expand the release to more countries and regular Galaxy S23 users in the coming days.

If you own a Galaxy S23, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

The Galaxy S23 series launched in 2023 with Android 13 and One UI 5.1. One UI 9.0 could be the last major Android OS update for the lineup.
