OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro debut with 185Hz displays, cooling fans, 9,000mAh battery

OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro in China. The new gaming-focused phones bring built-in cooling fans, high refresh rate displays, and large batteries.

The Ace 7 Pro features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. It has a 6.78-inch LTPO display that can reach up to 165Hz, or 185Hz in supported games.

It also comes with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. For photography, the phone features a 200MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 16MP selfie shooter.

The Ace 7 Pro pairs the hardware with a large 9,000mAh battery and 100W SuperVOOC charging. The device also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for added durability.

Meanwhile, the standard Ace 7 uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V chipset. It trades the telephoto camera for an 8MP ultra-wide camera and uses a simpler cooling system.

Gaming is clearly the focus here. The built-in fans can help keep temperatures under control during long play sessions, while the fast displays will deliver smoother visuals.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 4,799 (around PHP 45,940 / INR 68,280) for the Ace 7 Pro with the 12GB+256GB. The Ace 7 starts at CNY 4,399 (PHP 42,110 / INR 62,590) for the same memory and storage configuration.

For now, the phones are only available in China. If you’re looking for a gaming phone with active cooling and a huge battery, these are worth keeping an eye on should they reach more markets.
