Getting a MySSS Card is now faster for SSS members. Through a new instant-printing service, eligible applicants can have their MySSS Card printed in as fast as five minutes at select kiosks nationwide.
The Social Security System (SSS) and Asia United Bank (AUB) rolled out 46 kiosks across the country to speed up card issuance. These kiosks are located in selected AUB branches and SSS offices in Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The MySSS Card works as both an SSS ID and a debit card. Members can use it to receive benefits and loan proceeds from SSS, making transactions easier and more convenient.
Before visiting a kiosk, applicants must first complete the required online process. To qualify, you need a permanent SSS number, an active My.SSS account, and registration with the National ID system for identity verification.
The five-minute processing time covers only the printing and release of the card. Completing the requirements beforehand remains an important step in the application process.
Members using AUB’s instant-printing service must also open a HelloMoney account. AUB charges a one-time issuance fee of PHP 250 for the MySSS Card.
For those looking for a faster option, the kiosk service cuts down waiting time compared to other card issuance channels. Some partner banks also offer the MySSS Card, but processing may take several working days.
Existing UMID cardholders do not need to apply for a replacement. Previously issued UMID cards are still valid.
