Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 5. The device features 5.99-inch 18:9 display, a Snapdragon 625 processor, and a large 4,000 mAh battery.

Xiaomi has built a reputation for releasing value-for-money smartphones and tablets. This time, the Chinese brand recently launched a new midrange phone in India that falls in the “impressively spec’d but affordably priced” category, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

The Redmi Note 5 features a 5.99-inch full HD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass protection. it has a metal unibody, for added durability and premium finish. Inside, you’ll find a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The handset comes with a 12MP rear camera equipped with an f/2.2 lens, PDAF, and dual tone flash. The front camera uses 5MP sensor and an LED flash.

The phone also comes with a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging support, and a runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is currently only available in India. The 32GB and 64GB variant will have retail prices of INR9,999 (roughly Php8,200) and INR11,999 (Php9,800), respectively. No news or information if it will be available in the Philippines.
