PLDT Telpad Now Features a Huawei Ideos S7 Slim Tablet

 

PLDT just upgraded its Telpad offering.  The PLDT Telpad is a tablet and landline phone in one launched back in December 2010.  It originally featured a tablet known as AD 1000 but now PLDT uses a higher specced Huawei Ideos S7 Slim Android tablet.  With the PLDT Telpad, you can make a call, surf the internet, and do whatever it is an Android tablet can do.

  • Android 2.2 OS
  •  1 GHz Scorpion processor
  •  Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon chipset
  •  512MB RAM
  •  8GB interbal memory, upgradable up to 32GB via microSD card
  •  HSDPA 7.2Mbps, HSUPA 2Mbps

The Telpad is given to the PLDT Telpad Plan subscriber to be used for free for the entire duration of the subscription.  It is not being sold separately.

    • punta ka lang nearest pldt senyo… bale babayaran mo sya for 2years, madagdagan lang ang monthly bills mo ng 250… astig, i just got mine… para kang nagka ipad bigla…

      kaso, icheck din pla yung credibility ng account mo sa pldt, kung good payer kaba, at tska kelangan ata minimum of 2years ka ng naka pldt

    ito po ba yung telpad na may gingerbread upgrade na? sa mga forums yung nka gingerbread daw yung maganda ang performance. available na po ba ito?

    • the other product AD-1000A is the gingerbread android 2.3 version of telpad.  i did my research and it seems this software upgrade did wonders for the product compared to the old android 2.2 version.  check out this video i found showing fast response of the telpad when used in a 3D game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRuSPC15kRc&feature=related
