Cherry Mobile Blaze Android Phone Announced, Priced at P6,499

Cherry Mobile is on a roll. It launched the Flare and Titan handsets just weeks ago and now they surprised everyone with the announcement of a new Android handset called the Cherry Mobile Blaze.  The Blaze is another cheap Android tablet, costing you only P6,499 if you decide to snag one now.  For this price, the specs are quite good, which is no surprise really considering that the Flare had an introductory price of P3,990 and the Titan was priced also at P6,499.

One thing that you will notice if you see the photo of the Cherry Mobile Blaze is it looks just like the Samsung Galaxy S III.  The shape, the button and the overall appearance of the Blaze are the same as the Galaxy S III.  The screen size, which is 4.7 inches, is almost the same as the 4.8-inch display size of the Galaxy S III.  If you get this phone, chances are people will mistake it for the Samsung Galaxy S III.  If this phone is rooted and loaded with a Galaxy S III version of Android, the similarities will be too close.

The Cherry Mobile Blaze will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and will run Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.  It has an 8-megapixel rear camera and will be dual-SIM and dual standby just like the Flare and Titan handsets.   Here are the known specs of the Cherry Mobile Blaze.

  1. A few more cons: As of now there are no compatible case for this new smartphone. Battery consumption is very fast due to the 1500 mAh battery capacity. I’m bringing a mini backup phone  power with me to solve this “juice drainage” concern.

    • Try the NQ Android Booster. Not so sure with the name but just search it on Google Play. It’s what I use right now, makes my batter life last 50% more.

  2. This new phone is my first Cherry Mobile encounter. 1. So far some of the negatives: I can’t turn off the English text predictive while using the regular simple key-pad. 2. I’m unable to delete any of the empty pages from the “Home Page”.  Other than these two so far the rest all all positive points. Overall, I’m vey happy with it & all the folks that saw & thought it was the S3 :)

    • Been there, done that! :) I just forgot how I did it with my Flare, but you can remove those red lines. Just get under the hood. Konting kalikot lang here and there.
