Apart from the Cherry Mobile Flare, the other new handset launched by the local phone brand Cherry Mobile is the W500 Titan. Like the 4-inch Flare, the Titan will be sold for a very, very low price. Cherry Mobile says the Titan will retail for only P6,499.
The Cherry Mobile W500 Titan offers a 5-inch display which brings it into the “phablet” category like the Samsung Galaxy Note or the LG Optimus Vu. The similarity does not end in the display size, the Cherry Mobile Titan also features a flip cover just like the Galaxy Note. With the cheap price of the Titan, however, don’t expect a similar build quality or performance as Samsung’s phablet.
Based on internal hardware, the Cherry Mobile W500 Titan looks like a capable phone. The Titan is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 CPU paired with 512MB of RAM with an internal storage of 4GB that’s expandable up 32GB via microSD. The Titan has a 5-megapixel rear shooter and a front-facing VGA camera. The battery on the Titan is 2,350mAh, which is better than the one used on the Flare.

got mine last sunday, ver9 na, pero walang flipcover or jelly case. had to buy it mismo sa cherry mobile store. 500 ang price ng jelly case. tapos di pa nagbabasa ang CDR KING na microSD. anyway sulit na sulit! :D
I love my white Titan! :) Just got it a few days ago after reading reviews here and there and weighing the pros and cons. The camera is not that good, but so practical with the price. I am into photography and what I did to solve the cam prob is (1)-I do few editing (using the phone) to enhance the pic or if I really wanted na maganda ang pic, (2) I bought a wifi ready na sd card so madali lang ang pag transfer ng pic to the cam for posting or just keeping it in the album for viewing.

Don’t expect too much about the quality of TITAN or myphone A898., these are not like IPHONE5 that has RETINA DISPLAY and GALAXY NOTE II that has SUPER AMOLED!!! and has a GORILLA GLASS, even those phone that value more than 30k also has PRO’s and CON’s, so what do you expect with this phones that only cost you less than 8k.. and guys take note, JELLYBEAN with 2GHz QUADCORE is already out in the market… If you guys looking for not just better but the best then spend a lot of money… but if you are looking for a elegant look but low quality the be contented with those… *peace*
Not all people can afford a phone priced at 8k above. Personally, this phone (TITAN) and FLARE are just a few of the most awesome phones that are android powered. Try to compare it to Samsung’s Galaxies, the specs, built, performance. I bet these phones would definitely better the performance of LOTS of those “8k-priced and above” phones. Check the FLARE”s specs and COMPARE…
Mas maraming practical mg isip kesa sau.. Brand name lng ang binili mo pre. Halos parehas lng nmn ang features ng mga top phones at mga sinasabi mong mumurahin na cp. why spend that much when u can get decent phones like these n parehas lng nmn ang features at a very low price. I know mag hihit 2 sa market. and as time goes mas mrami pang lalabas n new model ng phones.. maluluma din yang phone mo bibili k ulit ng bago . di naman nag mamahal ang phone lagi yan nagiging mas mura. Practically mas ok n bumili ng mura pero my quality. and dont say walang quality ang mga phones n to. basahin mo mga reviews nyan noob.

Good:
– ganda ng interface
– malaki ang screen
– mabilis mag wifi
– walang lag/hang
Bad:
– disappointed ako sa camera kahit sabi nila 5MP
– poor picture quality kahit mag install ka ng camera apps
– basta very disappointing ang camera. kahit my LED Flash
– disappointed ako sa kulay ng screen/icons kasi faded.
– mabilis mafull batt pero ganun din kabilis ma lowbat
If your the type of person na mahilig mag picture2x, i definitely cannot recommend this phone. Pangit talaga ng camera.
I cannot help but to compare it with the camera ng MyPhone a878 duo ko. (I have one of these). In fairness to them, 5MP at my LED flash din just like sa Titan pero iba talaga eh. Sobra ganda ng kuha ng myphone a878 duo.
I am not here to promote myPhone a878 duo which I personally own it. Kayo na bahala to compare between the 2. It’s just really disappointing ng camera at picture quality na kuha from titan. Siguro nga kasi mas pricey konti ng mPhone (6,999) compare sa titan (6,499).

Sa mga nag-comment na inde importante ang camera sa cellphone, wala kayo alam sa technology. Dati pantawag lang cp, tapos pwde na magtext, ngayon mas madami na pwede gawin. Meron ako DSLR, point and shoot camera, pero inde mo naman pwede bitbitin parati mga un. Kaya importante camera sa phone na kaya magproduce decent photos.

good thing about this phone is the its affordable, huge screen, long lasting battery and its neat and simple style, but the bad part is the colors looks washed out, camera is not that clear (video/pictures) and its kinda heavy… but who care i still oves this phone!

Sa wakas nakabili din ako ng Titan, i was so impressed ng mahawakan ko i2 but after an hour or 2 parang gs2 ko na ulit ibalik kaso d n pwede… touch screen d sya masyado responsive, wifi hirap maka connect sa wpa2 kung di ko inalis na lng password ng wifi nmin, masyado mabigat compare to other phone na parehas ang laki, and the worst ang camera claiming 5mp… e mas malinaw pa ang cam ng nokia 2700c ko na vga lng…screen kailangn naka full ang brightness para makita ng maayos, maputla ang kulay cguro 56k colors lang i2, parang htc hd2 lng e

I think depende un sa bilis ng internet niu kc naka-wifi kami sa bhay so far mabilis mag-browse ng site ung titan ko ganon din sa opis in 3 seconds nag-oopen na ung fb,youtube etc. ung viber lng nia ang medyo me tanong ako pero ask ko technician nila about this and it’s not too bad for a android phone have big screen worth of 6,500

I agree with you. I didn’t experience any prob sa wifi connection with Titan. Even sa Viber, ok na ok. With this phone na maganda ang form, sulit ang price. The cam is quite good. You just do a little editing ok na ang pic. Of course yong iba kinum-compare palagi sa branded kaya so nega mga comments. :(

Super fast & smooth UI, they had a display & hands on booth at megamall, blurry camera, a bit thick and on the heavy side of handhelds. The price is hard to beat.
