For those who do not know about it yet, the RedMi 1S is coming to the Philippines. Its only P5,599 and its coming sooner than you think.

Mi Philippines will start selling the device on September 4, 12noon through Lazada. The RedMi 1S is a great combination of affordability and hardware. It comes with a 4.7 inch HD screen, a 1.6GHz quad core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It probably is the most affordable Quad core Snapdragon toting phone in the country at the moment.

I wonder if it will outsell the Mi3. Given most Pinoys’ reservations when it comes to buying online, I think the Mi3 could have been a bigger draw if it was sold on a physical store. But that’s just my opinion.

I think you’re right about the UI performance. Saw a video on YouTube saying it was a minus for the redmi 1s.

  2. I’ve joined several xiaomi / redmi fb groups to get feedbacks. :) I’m interested on redmi. So far the only negative is the UI performance and batt. I hope they are as fast as xiaomi updates to address UI concerns.
