iPhone users took to Twitter and various forums to broadcast their displeasure when they noticed the bigger screened iPhone 6 Plus was bending in their jeans pocket.
I guess making a bigger and thinner iPhone came with a cost. Aluminum is, after all, a relatively soft and malleable metal. With enough pressure, the thinner and wider frame will most likely bend at its weakest points. A YouTube user from Unbox Therapy showed just that by posting a video of him bending an iPhone 6 Plus with just his fingers. It bent just underneath the volume key.
This is definitely not going to be good for Apple. Although it remains to be seen how much damage #bendgate would cause for Apple, I’m pretty sure this will start a new round of trolling to highlight the iPhone’s “newest feature.”
