The Kase: Protect Your Phone with Customized Cases

If you are travelling somewhere today and taking a plane, you may have noticed a curious looking accessories store in NAIA Terminal 3. The Kase, an accessories maker from Europe, offers customized cases for mobile phones and tablets.

The Kase in NAIA 3

A friend saw the place and ordered a case for his iPhone 6. According to the staff, you can choose any design they have available, or you can bring your own design, photo or image, and use it for your case. My friend chose a vinyl record design. Printing took a few minutes and that’s it. I took some pictures and tried to get quick hands-on for the benefit of our readers.

The case  was made of a rigid silicon like material. The packaging looks great.

The case is not slippery, and you could get good grip on it. It feels good in the hand. And the cut outs are precise. More importantly, the case doesn’t add bulk and weight to the iPhone 6, while providing ample protection from short drops.

The Verdict

The Kase offers good quality cases with custom designs that fit your mobile phones precisely. You can choose from a multitude of designs, or you can bring  your own. The material is very good, although I found it to be a bit rigid. But its easy to install and doesn’t add too much bulk.

I like that you can bring your own design or photo, AND then get it in a few minutes because they print while you wait . The Kase custom case will cost you P800. The only downside at the moment is that The Kase only has one store in the country, and its in NAIA 3. So there’s no way to get one unless you or someone you know is travelling somewhere.

  1. Hi, Bryan! Thanks for writing about us back in April. About our “only downside”; we now have stores open in Glorietta 1 and Powerplant Mall. Come check us out some time, we’ve got a lot more in store now. :)
