When the OPPO F1 was launched, it drew the attention of selfie enthusiast because of it’s 8MP front camera and it’s friendly price tag. It didn’t take long before the company came out with a Plus version. The OPPO F1 Plus is bigger and better in so many ways.
Unboxing the OPPO F1 Plus Selfie Expert
The sales package of the OPPO F1 Plus is one of the most complete you’ll see. It has the usual set of accessories – a USB cable, travel charger, earbuds. Surprisingly, OPPO also included a clear soft case and a pre-installed screen protector.
I prepared a short unboxing video. If you have trouble viewing it, you can also watch it on this link.
First, let’s address the elephant in the room: the OPPO F1 Plus look like an iPhone. Not that its a bad thing, mind you. On its own though, the selfie smartphone is a beautiful device. It has a slick design with nice curves and a thin profile. The metal body feels good in the hand and the build quality is excellent.
The display measures 5.5 inches and uses AMOLED tech. And like all AMOLED screens, it has good brightness and impressive color saturation. It is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4.
Like the F1, the OPPO F1 Plus also has the “selfie expert” tag. The 16MP sensor on the front camera justifies this. The main camera, on the other hand, has a 13MP sensor equipped with a f/2.2 aperture.
Inside is a huge 4GB RAM, and an even bigger 64GB storage. And if that isn’t enough, you can always add up to 128GB more memory via microSD card. The rest of the specs include an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, a Mali-T860MP2 graphics chip, dual SIM support, a non-removable 2,850 mAh battery with VOOC flash charge, and Color OS 3.0.
