ColorOS 17 starts rolling out to OPPO Find X9 series

OPPO has started rolling out ColorOS 17 to the Find X9 and Find X9 Ultra in the Philippines. The Android 17-based update brings a refreshed design, new AI features, better performance, and stronger security tools.

The rollout follows OPPO’s previously announced ColorOS 17 schedule. Aside from the Find X9 duo, the first wave of eligible devices includes the Find N6, Find X9 Pro, Find X9s, Find N5, Pad 5 Pro, Find X8 Pro, Find X8, Reno16 Pro 5G, Reno16 5G, Reno16 FS 5G, and Reno16 F 5G.

For the Find X9 series, the update package is over 3GB for both the Find X9 and Find X9 Ultra. It is recommended to have at least 60% battery before installing the new software.

One of the major additions is the new Living Flow Design, which brings smoother animations, updated visual effects, and a cleaner interface. The upgraded Laminar Flow Engine also improves multitasking by keeping more apps active in the background while speeding up Gallery thumbnail loading and app responsiveness.

ColorOS 17 expands OPPO’s AI capabilities with tools designed to help users stay organized. AI Mind Pilot can sort files, photos, and travel plans, while AI Mind Space and Memory Collections help manage saved content and create summaries. AI Mind Suggest provides recommendations and reminders based on daily usage.

The update also introduces AI Photo Agent, which allows users to make edits using natural language commands. On the security side, AI Call Guard can detect potential AI-generated voice scams and face-swap fraud attempts during calls.

OPPO is also strengthening privacy protections through its updated Private Computing Cloud, which now includes end-to-end dual encryption and post-quantum security measures. A new Transparency Report gives users more visibility into how AI-related data is handled.
