Priced at a pocket friendly PHP5,990, the Huawei Y6 2018 will become official in the Philippines starting April 28, 2018. The entry level handset features an 18:9 display, thin bezels, and a 13MP rear camera.

The Huawei Y6 2018 comes with a 5.7-inch HD S-IPS display with a 1440 x 720 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Inside, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.

The handset is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and a LED flash. While the front camera has a 5MP sensor and a LED flash.

Interestingly, the Y6 2018 will come with an OTA update which will include a new Karaoke Mode feature. This allows users can wear a headset, sing a song, and hear their own voice on the headset. The update will also include support for group music, connecting up to 8 smartphones and turning them into speakers.

Sadly, the handset does not include a fingerprint scanner. But it does compensate with Face Unlock which is powered by an AI facial recognition algorithm.

As for the rest of the specs, the phone also comes with an FM radio, a 3,000 mAh battery, and EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo, right out of the box.

The Huawei Y6 2018 will be available in the Philippines starting April 28, 2018, with a suggested retail price of PHP5,990 (around USD116).
