No rate hike for Philippine Netflix subscribers

Good news to Filipino Netflix users. They are not going to raise the subscription rates in the Philippines.

The announcement was made after they said they’ll be raising prices in the US and select markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This means we get to enjoy our favorite Netflix shows such as Titans, Sex Education, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, a bunch of Anime, and a whole lot more.

This is definitely good news, especially for us price conscious Pinoys. There are three monthly subscription options for Netflix Philippines — Basic (PHP370), Standard (PHP460), and Premium (PHP550).

Currently, I am on the Standard subscription, and am one of the few people who have opted to get rid of cable TV in favor of streaming services.
