OPPO recently announced its latest camera technology as they show off their 10x lossless zoom. The technology was actually first unveiled last January.
OPPO’s 10x lossless zoom tech was announced at its Global Innovation event at the MWC in Barcelona. To achieve this, OPPO used a triple-lens camera structure, combining a 48MP main camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens. Together with OPPO’s imaging software, all these work together to achieve a focal length of 16mm to 160mm, or 10x lossless zoom.

OPPO used a periscope design and D-cut lenses to keep the module compact. The entire triple camera setup has a width of under 6.76mm, giving users more camera per milimeter. They even managed to fit in an OIS with 0.001445 image stabilization precision.
