DxOMark recently released their assessment of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus’ camera. Their verdict? It’s as good as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro‘s.
The Samsung Galaxy S10+ received an overall score of 109 points, currently sharing the number one spot with two Huawei flagships, the Mate 20 Pro and the P20 Pro. It got 114 points for still photos and 97 points on video. On the selfie front, it received a solid 96 points.
DxOMark praised the Galaxy S10+ for its accurate white balance and good colors, impressive low light capabilities, wide dynamic range, and good detail in close range zoom. It’s bokeh effect was also commended for its realism.

It’s not perfect, mind you, as there were cons. A lack of fine detail in most conditions were mentioned, as well as a loss of sharpness in some images.
But in the end, the camera of the Galaxy S10+ still did pretty good in almost everything else, marking this a good start for flagship smartphones this 2019.
The Samsung Galaxy S10+ is priced at PHP 55,990. It will be available in the Philippines starting March 8, 2019.
