Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship processor, the Snapdragon 865, was spotted on Geekbench. Benchmark scores blew away all competition.
It has been less than a month since the Snapdragon 855+ was announced, and as you can see, Qualcomm is already busy developing its successor. The Snapdragon 865 showed up on the pages of benchmarking app Geekbench and shows very promising results.
For the scores, the upcoming Snapdragon 865 got 4160 on the single-core test and 12,946 on the multi-core test. In comparison, the overclocked Snapdragon 855+ scored 3,600 and 11,200, respectively.
Interestingly, the upcoming SoC handily blew all competition away in the multi-core test. But it failed to top both the Apple A12 Bionic (4,700) and the Samsung Exynos 9825 (4,500) on the single-core test.
The Snapdragon 865 is internally named “Kona,” as seen on the Geekbench screenshot. It was tested on a device with 6GB RAM and Android Q.
Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 865 by the end of the year. So it will probably be in devices by next year.
