Black Shark 2 Pro with Snapdragon 855+ launched; Coming to the Philippines soon

The Black Shark 2 Pro recently launched in Malaysia. The gaming smartphone features beastly specs with a unique X-style antenna design, aggressive “gamer” styling, and liquid cooling technology.

The Black Shark 2 Pro retains the 6.39-inch full HD AMOLED display of the non-pro Black Shark 2. It has a 60Hz refresh rate with the DCI P3 Color Space support. They claimed that touch latency was improved compared to the previous model.

Inside, there’s an overclocked 2.96GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor with a faster Adreno 640 (700Mhz), 8 or 12GB RAM, and 128 or 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. Battery capacity is set at 4000mAh with 27W fast charge support.

As for its cameras, there’s the 48MP and 12MP sensors. Selfies are handled by a 20MP shooter.

The Black Shark 2 Pro runs on Android 9 Pie.

Price and Availability

The Black Shark 2 Pro 8GB + 128GB has a price of USD 549 or roughly PHP 28,700. The 12GB + 256GB variant, on the other hand, has a price of USD 649 or around PHP 34,000.

According to our friends at GizGuide, the Black Shark 2 Pro will officially come to the Philippines. While no date has been set, it was confirmed by company representatives.
