The Black Shark 2 was recently unveiled in China. The gaming smartphone comes with new features, including a low input latency touchscreen.
In terms of design, the company didn’t stray too far from the first Black Shark. It still has that gaming vibe going on, but with an updated look.
The Black Shark 2 sports a new Samsung-made 6.39-inch full HD AMOLED display with a 43.5ms input latency, up to 430 nits of brightness, full DC dimming capability, and motion interpolation to simulates high frame rates.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 7nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, paired with 6/8/12GB RAM, and 128/256GB storage. To keep things cool while gaming, the phone also comes with Liquid Cool 3.0 Vapor Chamber cooling system.
For photography, the phone relies on its dual 48MP + 12MP rear cameras. Selfies are handled by a 20MP front shooter.

Part of its gaming features include a new AI game engine which allocates resources depending on what’s needed, Magic Press virtual buttons, and new add-ons like a Cooling Case and a GamePad 3.0 controller attachment.
For its other specs, the Black Shark 2 also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, front facing stereo speakers, RGB lighting, and a 4,000mAh battery with fast charge.
The Black Shark 2 will be available in China with the following prices:
- 6GB + 128GB – CNY 3,199 (around ~PHP 25,200)
- 8GB + 128GB – CNY 3,499 (~PHP 27,500)
- 8GB + 256GB – CNY 3,799 (~PHP 30,000)
- 12GB + 256GB – CNY 4,199 (~PHP 33,000)
