Xiaomi has released the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 in the Philippines. The device first rolled out in Malaysia and Singapore before arriving locally.

The tablet is priced at ₱7,999 for the Wi-Fi-only model and ₱8,999 for the Wi-Fi+4G version. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 2, offering better performance compared to last year’s Helio G100.
Up front, it has a 9.7-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nits brightness, and a 2048 x1280resolution. It’s slightly smaller than the previous model but keeps the smooth high-refresh panel.
Powering the device is a 7,600mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging. Xiaomi includes a 15W charger in the box. For cameras, it comes with an 8MP rear shooter and a 5MP front camera for calls and selfies.
