realme launches the realme 8s 5G and the realme 8i in India. The handsets come with the new MediaTek chips, 5000mAh batteries, and the Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) feature where users can convert storage to RAM.
There’s no news yet if it’s coming to the Philippines. But in the meantime, you can check out what the phones offer.
realme 8s 5G
The realme 8s 5G is the first-ever phone to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chip. It has eight cores with a 2.4GHz clock speed, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage. The handset supports realme’s DRE technology which can add up to 5GB RAM for a total of up to 13GB.
At the front, it has a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 16MP punch-hole selfie shooter. At the back, there are three cameras — a 64MP main, a 2MP black and white, and a 2MP 4cm macro.

Battery capacity is at 5000mAh with 33W fast charging support. It also runs on realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11.
The realme 8s 5G is priced at INR 17,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, and INR 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. Converted to local pricing, that’s around Php 12,300+ and Php 13,600+, respectively.

The realme 8i features another new MediaTek chip in the Helio G95. It comes with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage.

The handset has a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a 16MP front shooter, triple rear 50MP +2MP + 2MP cameras, and a 5000mAh battery but with an 18W fast charging support.

The realme 8s is priced at INR 13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, and INR 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. That’s around Php 9,500+ and Php 10,900+, respectively.
