realme GT 2, GT 2 Pro official; Pro model packs 2K AMOLED, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

realme reveals its latest flagship series in the realme GT 2 and the realme GT 2 Pro. The handsets feature AMOLED displays, with the Pro model packing a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chipset.

The realme GT 2 series features a paper-like design from renowned Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa and realme design studios.

The realme GT 2 Pro comes with a flat 6.7-inch 2K Flat LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with all the bells and whistles, including a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 1000Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, and Gorilla Glass Victus. The company claims the panel offers up to 50% less power consumption.

Meanwhile, the vanilla variant has a smaller 6.62-inch FHD Flat AMOLED display, also with 120Hz refresh rate.

The Pro model is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chip with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The non-Pro variant, on the other hand, has a Snapdragon 888 5G processor with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

Both handsets have a 50MP main camera backed by a Sony IMX766 sensor. The GT 2 Pro gets a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. Another thing they have in common is the 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging.

The realme GT 2 Pro is priced at CNY 3,699 (~Php 30,000) for the 8GB+128GB model and CNY 3,999 (~Php 32,300) for the 8GB+256GB. The 12GB+256GB is priced at CNY 4,299 (~Php 34,700), while the top-end 12GB+512GB will retail for CNY 4,799 (~Php 38,700).

The realme GT 2, on the other hand, starts at CNY 2,699 (~Php 21,700) for the 8GB+128GB, and up to CNY 3,199 (~Php 25,800) for the 12GB+256GB model.
