What to expect from PUBG 2022: Jujutsu Kaisen and more

The first few quarters of 2022 promises to be exciting for PUBG Mobile in the Philippines. Last year, the game offered its players a plethora of collaborations, including the English Premier League’s Liverpool FC team, Riot’s League of Legends popular anime adaptation Arcane, and Marvel’s Spiderman movie, No Way Home.

This year, they have more surprises in the form of new collaborations and releases. Here are three predictions to get you excited in the coming PUBG Mobile updates in the Philippines in 2022.

Jujutsu Kaisen

This is probably one of the most anticipated ones coming to PUBG Mobile this year. A teaser for the Jujutsu Kaisen x PUBG Mobile crossover collaboration was already teased late last year in August.

While no specific details were given about the collab, we can definitely expect characters from the hit anime such as Itadori Yuji, Fushiguro Megumi, Kugisaki Nobara, and Satoru Goju, to have character suits, and maybe even voice lines come to PUBG Mobile.

K-Pop

Given that K-pop fandom has taken over the Philippines in recent years, and following the successful collaboration with Blackpink in 2020, it won’t be a surprise if another one of our country’s favorite K-pop idols signs on with PUBG Mobile for another successful run.

It’s no secret that many K-pop idols are avid fans of PUBG Mobile, after all. An event like this for this year would likely include events and rewards, with the PUBG Mobile map littered with elements inspired by the K-pop group that signs on for the collaboration.

Filipino-Themed Items

With PUBG Mobile increasing its reach within the Filipino community, there have also been murmurings that hint towards Filipino-themed items and events. With the Philippines having one of the higher community engagement and fanbase in the game, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched for PUBG MOBILE to pay homage to them in the best way possible, especially through in-game challenges.

Players can look forward to Filipino-themed in-game wearables. There have even been talks about Filipino voice packs.

With these collabs and releases, PUBG Mobile is off to a great start in the early part of 2022
