Hands-on Review
The realme 9 Pro+ 5G Free Fire Limited Edition variant’s design is heavily inspired by different elements from the game. The handset has a glossy finish in dark blue with the FF Knife blade patterns that reflects rainbow colors when hit with a light source.
In the upper right corner, the word “Booyah!” is emblazoned with the same gradient. You also have the realme logo in silver at the back.
Continuing with the Free Fire elements, the phone comes with a special theme with a Kelly “The Swift” lock screen and wallpaper, along with special icons for default apps and an octagon icon shape for the other apps.
Apart from the fresh coat of paint, it’s the same realme 9 Pro+. It has a 90Hz 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 2400 x 1080 resolution, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1000 nits of brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek 920 5G chipset, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 4500mAh battery with 60W fast charging.
As for its cameras, it has a 50MP main camera with a flagship-grade Sony IMX766 sensor and OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro. It also has a 16MP selfie shooter under a punch hole on the display.
